DIVING IN BALI
Not only does Bali have a rich terrain and culture, it is a tropical marine paradise. There are several diving locations off the shores of Bali and
its neighbouring islands which are suitable for beginners in addition to some for more experienced divers. All the diving sites have been
thoroughly inspected and surveyed by experts. Daily excursions and a
diving school for beginners are available. Our experienced guides and
teachers offer excellent tuition at reasonable prices.

Nusa Dua
The coastline off Nusa Dua offers a great variety of corals, fish and
underwater vegetation. By diving here, up to 12 metres, you can see
several different types of coral and fish which inhabit the long barrier reef. It is recommended diving site for beginners.

Amed
The diving sites at Amed provide a profusion of tropical marine life
including a variety of corals, fish, stingray and small reef shark. These sites are accessed by a short boat ride from the beach. Generally, it is calm and suitable for all levels of diver.

Tulamben
Tulamben is possibly the most popular diving location in Bali as it is in close proximity to the site of the USS Liberty shipwreck. Still in good
condition at between 5 - 28 metres, the wreck is home to a huge array of fish and coral in technicolor brilliance. Nearby, there is a coral garden awaiting exploration. Night diving is also possible which provides
stunning colour contrasts particularly during a full moon. The shoreline is rocky so protective footwear is required. South of Tulamben, 30 minutes distant, Amed offers some reef dives amidst calm, clear waters. Thus, the area is ideal for levels of diver.

Mejangan Island
Located off the north-west tip of Bali, this National Marine Park provides spectacular dives with vision up to 50 metres. Menjangen offers an
abundance of exotic underwater life including the eel garden, gorgonia,
caverns, shark, turtle and rays. Diving here is suitable for all levels
and for the more experienced, it is possible to deep dive to the Anker
wreck.

Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan
Situated off the south-east coast of Bali, Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan provide yet further exciting diving excursions. Frequently,shark, manta
and turtle can be seen. Off the coast of Nusa Lembongan, noted for the
blue corners, mola mola can be seen in August and September. Nusa Penida offers a range of dives from Manta point on the south-west coast to wall dives and drift dives for experienced divers.

Another beautiful Sanur dive just few minutes to reach from the shore. As you descent, you see floor carpeted with hard coral and soft corals – impressive anemones fish, giant boulders coral buried in sand. Adding yet another dimension to reefs already inhabited with diversity of colorful creatures – high action dives with a wide variety of marine life.

Others:Feeding frenzy on fresh spawn
Has a good reef diving, carpeted with hard coral and soft coral - Great visibility, colorful corals with school of pelagic fish, and where a thousand colorful agile reef fish are darting all over the place that reveals the vibrant marine world underneath. Look for schooling of sweet lips, white tip reef sharks, manta rays even huge of pelagics. Expect to discover pristine diving…
Sanur:
Reef type : Drop-off to moderate depth
Access:15 minutes by boat
Visibility:6-8meters ( Can reach 15 meters on occasion )
Current:Usually gentle but can be strong
Coral:Limited coverage, few species
Fish:Surprising good variety
Highlights:Feeding frenzy on fresh spawn
Note that the best time to dive this site is early in the morning due strong current but it is good for dive courses and general introduction to Bali underwater world. Sanur offers a great variety of coral, fish and aquatic life.
